WHAT IS DIAMOND SURFACES?
 Diamond Surfaces is a new solid surface material that, like nearly all other solid surface materials, offers many compelling reasons to renew our way of thinking about countertops.  Common traits of solid surface materials include consistency of color or design throughout the material and resistance to bacteria, stains, and chemicals.  These characteristics make possible a seamless appearance, low maintenance, and a long, renewable countertop life that occurs in few, if any, other countertop products.   Click here for a comparison to other countertop products.
 

WHAT MAKES DIAMOND SURFACES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SOLID SURFACES?

 HOW SHOULD DIAMOND SURFACES BE CLEANED?
 We suggest using a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleanser.  Avoid using strong acidic cleansers such as those designed for ovens, toilets, or drains.  
 

 WHAT TOOLS ARE NEEDED TO INSTALL AND WORK WITH DIAMOND SURFACES?
 Normal woodworking tools, available at most hardware stores, are needed to install Diamond Surfaces.  Special fabrication may require additional tools and techniques.
 

 IS DIAMOND SURFACES HEAT RESISTANT?
 Although Diamond Surfaces is heat resistant, hot pots and heat-generating appliances should not be sat directly on the countertop surface.  Using a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet will help protect your surface from heat damage.  Heat shields to protect the surface from stoves and other heat sources should be considered.

 IS THERE A WARRANTY ON DIAMOND SURFACES?
 A 10-year limited nontransferable warranty is guaranteed to the initial purchaser of Diamond Surfaces.  This warranty insures Diamond Surfaces products are free of manufacturing defects only.  Merchantability or fitness or usage for a particular purpose is not assured.  Product installation completed by an ISSFA certified or equivalently certified individual and a purchase receipt showing date of original purchase are required for warranty coverage.  Read more about the warranty here.  
 

 HOW CAN SCRATCHES BE REMOVED?
 Sand with increasingly finer grit sandpaper.  Use small circular motions until the desired texture is reached.  Polish with appropriate compounds to achieve gloss finishes.  
 

 SHOULD DIAMOND SURFACES BE CUT ON DIRECTLY?
 Cutting directly on the surface may cause cuts or scratches.  Although Diamond Surfaces can be repaired if cuts or scratches occur, the deeper the cut or scratch the more difficult the repair.  We recommend that you do not use your countertop as a cutting board.

 WHO CAN INSTALL DIAMOND SURFACES?
 Installation of Diamond Surfaces is not limited to any particular group of people.  The option exists for anyone who wants Diamond Surfaces to install it him or herself.  Check out the Seaming Guide , Cutting Guide and Sanding Guide.  Warranty coverage on Diamond Surfaces will be provided for product installed by ISSFA certified or equivalently certified individuals.  
 

 DOES DIAMOND SURFACES REQUIRE SPECIAL SEALING?
 No.  Because Diamond Surfaces is nonporous, it is maintenance-free and never needs special sealing.
